Faith Formation

Faith Formation

Registration is closed for the 24-25 school year.

Faith Formation is NOT just for Sacraments

In the same way that our children return to school year after year, Faith Formation is meant to take place every year.  We are blessed to love a God who is ever expansive, always a God our hearts ache to know more about.  Our children deserve a relationship with God and the community they have been called to be a part of.

There's Something for Everyone!

St. John Vianney has something for everyone in kindergarten through twelfth grade:

CLOW for children in pre-k through second grade.  Takes place on Sundays during 9am (English), 11am (English) and 1pm (Spanish) Masses throughout the school year.  Children are dismissed from Mass to enjoy the Gospel on their level.  Children return as the gifts are being brought forward during Mass.

Family Formation Nights:  for children AND their families in kindergarten through fifth grade.  Family Formation Nights are designed to bring the family together as they learn more about Jesus and His Church through various activities and crafts.

Middle School Youth Ministry (Edge) for grades six through eight.  Middle School youth come together to explore God and His world around them through games, activities, and small group discussions.  Each class has the perfect blend of movement and learning.  Learn more here.

High School Youth Ministry (LifeTeen):  for grades nine through twelve.  High School youth nights are a time to come together to pray, socialize, and ask the big questions.  High Schoolers are led through a series of games, small group conversations, and opportunities to pray in meaningful ways. Learn more here.

Faith Formation Registration is coming!

Registration will not start for next school year until April, but there are several important things to know:

  • To register in any classes at St. John Vianney, you must be a registered parishioner at the parish. You can register by coming by the office during office hours, by filling out the form available on the parish website (under ‘I’m New Here’ tab) or by picking up a form on the information wall. Forms can be returned in the offertory basket at any Mass.
  • 1st Communion classes are open to any child in at least 2nd grade. You must provide a copy of the child’s Baptismal certificate before classes begin.
  • Confirmation classes are open to any child in at least 10th grade who has already received Baptism and 1st Communion. You must provide a copy of the child’s Baptismal certificate and 1st Communion certificate before classes begin.

Registration is closed for the 24-25 school year.

24-25 Schedules are here!

Faith Formation is always recruiting more volunteers!

And there's more to Faith Formation and Youth Ministry than leading small groups! We need all sorts of people and all sorts of talents to create a complete learning environment for the youth of St. John Vianney.

You do not have to have all the answers - you just need to feel called to help. Fill out our volunteer form and we will be in contact!
