Saint John Vianney

Council of Catholic Women

The CCW was established in 1958 with a membership of seven. As a group of Christian women, we strive to be an organization dedicated to the support and friendship of all members. Not only are we dedicated to this fellowship, but also to our Church, through the example of Christian living and through our many fundraising events.

Our goal is to serve as a channel through which the Catholic women of our parish, in harmony with Church teachings, might utilize their unique talents in service to God by service to their fellow man. Thus through Christian Witnessing, win souls to Christ.

  • To provide our services for SJV's parish and nuture a Christian lifestyle.
  • To foster spiritual development of the women of the parish
  • To cultivate friendship and community spirit through social, cultural, and educational programs and events.

The Council holds regular evening meetings once a month, on the fourth Monday of each month, from August to May. Evenings consist of business, entertainment and refreshments. Prayer is an important part of the Councils' membership.

Each meeting is preceded by Mass, which is offered up for the Council members and is a wonderful bonding experience for all with a common goal.

All women (18 years and older) of the parish are invited and encouraged to become part of the fellowship!

The Council is made up of women of all ages, backgrounds, professions and interests.

All are invited and welcome to join the
